VINTAGE CHERUB CAMEO DROP EARRINGS PEARL DIAMOND BOWS. A fabulous pair of Victorian revival drop earrings featuring two high relief cameos hand carved from bullmouth shell.
They depict two winged cherubs, one holding a drum and the other grapes. Roman style Cameo's were highly sought after in the Victorian era and saw a revival in the early 20. Cherubs were popularly depicted and represented innocence, love, and faith.
The cameos are framed in 18ct gold and hang from a sterling silver bow decorated with fourteen twinkling brilliant cut diamonds and a central pearl. The workmanship is truly exquisite, and they've remained in excellent condition. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
